Makoto "Uri-bō" Tateuri is a ghost inhabiting the hot spring inn "Haru no Ya" (Spring House). After Oriko "Okko" Seki moves to her grandmother's inn following her parents' fatal traffic accident, Uri-bō emerges among the supernatural guides assisting her. He supports Okko through her training to manage and ultimately operate the establishment. Alongside other enigmatic beings, Uri-bō aids Okko's steady growth and adaptation to her new responsibilities and surroundings.
