Misaka 10032 is the 10032nd clone of Misaka Mikoto, produced by the Radio Noise Project under deceptive circumstances. Mikoto's DNA was acquired ostensibly to aid children with muscle control but was diverted for cloning. The Tree Diagram supercomputer determined Level 5 clones were unattainable, resulting in clones possessing only Level 2-3 abilities. These clones were subsequently reassigned to the Level 6 Shift experiment, intended to elevate Accelerator to Level 6 through the systematic elimination of 20,000 clones. Misaka 10032 survived her scheduled encounter due to intervention by Kamijou Touma and Mikoto Misaka. Physically identical to Mikoto except for distinctively lifeless eyes, she initially wears Tokiwadai Middle School's uniform without modesty shorts and employs specialized goggles to track electrons and magnetic fields, compensating for her reduced Electromaster capabilities. After Last Order stole her goggles, Touma gifted her a necklace featuring a heart accessory to distinguish her from other clones and Mikoto, which she wears permanently. A black cat, unaffected by her electromagnetic field, typically accompanies her. Her personality undergoes significant evolution. Initial Neural Implanting by the Testament machine suppressed her emotions, leading to a monotone voice, machine-like speech patterns, and a third-person verbal tic where she narrates actions and feelings. Clones were considered expendable, lacking self-worth and not identifying as human individuals. After Touma saves her during the experiment against Accelerator, declaring her unique existence, she develops a sense of self. She begins experiencing emotions like concern and affection, particularly towards Touma—shared across the Misaka Network due to collective memories of his rescue—and possessiveness. This manifests in behaviors such as protecting chocolate chicks mistaken for live animals, secretly dieting after learning some men prefer slender women, teasing Mikoto about her feelings for Touma, and aspiring to receive a ring from him due to a shoujo manga-inspired belief in its problem-solving power. She displays fondness for cats and Gekota merchandise. Her primary ability is Radio Noise, a Level 2-3 variant of Mikoto's Electromaster power, granting control over electricity and magnetism, though weaker than the original. She connects to the Misaka Network, a brainwave network formed via identical frequencies enabling quasi-telepathic communication, shared memories, and collective processing power, later utilized to compensate for Accelerator's brain damage. She is proficient with standard-issue Sister equipment: the F2000R Toy Soldier assault rifle, the Metal Eater MX anti-materiel rifle (handled effectively via electromagnetism countering recoil), and a Railgun Prototype in the movie. Network-shared experiences grant this weapon proficiency. Her chronology begins in the Sisters Arc. She first meets Touma while helping carry groceries, later assisting with his cat. Scheduled for the 10032nd experiment, Touma rescues her during her battle with Accelerator. Mikoto convinces her to help protect "Touma's dream," leading her to coordinate other clones via the Network to disrupt Accelerator's attack, enabling Touma's victory. Post-experiment, she requires global treatment due to accelerated aging from cloning processes, shortening her lifespan. Later arcs depict her development. In the Three Stories Arc, among ten clones remaining in Academy City, she assists Heaven Canceller in using the Network to support Accelerator's damaged brain. During the Tree Diagram Remnant Arc, she seeks Touma's help upon learning the experiment could restart if Tree Diagram is repaired. The Academy City Invasion Arc features comedic moments like dieting and chasing Last Order (who stole her goggles), culminating in Touma giving her the identifying necklace. She later mistakes chick-shaped food for real animals and electrocutes Touma when he attempts to eat one, showcasing her evolving emotional responses and misunderstandings of human culture. She appears in subsequent light novel series like Shinyaku Toaru Majutsu no Index and Souyaku Toaru Majutsu no Index, engaging in everyday activities such as attending festivals with her cat.
