Movie
Description
Lauren serves as the primary antagonist, driven by a deep-seated professional jealousy stemming from his past as a colleague and rival of robotics researcher Allen Isurugi. This envy festered into an obsessive vendetta against the entire Isurugi family.

His early scientific pursuits centered on psychic phenomena, initially motivated by a desire to validate his daughter Mia's abilities. However, his focus pivoted towards weaponizing esper powers for personal gain, disregarding all ethical boundaries.

Alongside Brad Ingram, president of the Gradsheim conglomerate, Lauren orchestrated a violent assault on the Isurugi residence to seize Allen's research, resulting in the deaths of Allen and Hyoe Isurugi. During the attack, he revealed his control over Mia, exploiting her esper abilities as a weapon and restraining Hyoe to facilitate the killings.

Six months later, still pursuing Allen's stolen research, Lauren encountered Rikka Isurugi during her infiltration of a Gradsheim facility. Recognizing Allen's daughter, he immediately ordered Mia to kill her, inadvertently triggering Mia's powers to spiral out of control. His obsession escalated when he subjected himself to experimental procedures derived from Allen's work, granting himself formidable esper abilities to personally eliminate Rikka.

His relationship with Mia was defined by manipulation and abuse. He employed a control collar to dominate her actions, framing his exploitation within a manipulative paternal facade while subjecting her to painful experiments, demonstrating his willingness to sacrifice his daughter for scientific advancement and vengeance.

Lauren contributed significantly to Gradsheim by advancing military drone systems and esper-inducing methodologies, aligning with the corporation's expansion into weaponized applications.

In the climactic confrontation at the ruined Isurugi home, Lauren battled both Rikka and Mia. After being defeated by Rikka and restrained, he feigned surrender before transferring his esper powers to Mia via the control collar. This act killed him while attempting to force Mia to kill Rikka. His character arc concludes within the film.
