Description
Yukiya Araki, a 14-year-old with light grey hair and piercing blue eyes, stands at 170 cm. Born March 13 in the Ziggurat—an alternate dimension—his existence resulted from a divine wish by his biological parents, Mayumi Akutagawa and Daichi Nagaoka, former Hand Shakers trapped in the timeless realm. Rescued from the Ziggurat by irregular Hand Shaker Fumiyuki, Yukiya was adopted by Reijiro and Yukine Araki of Team Chain, former champions themselves.
As an irregular Hand Shaker, Yukiya’s touch forges instant partnerships, dragging anyone into the Ziggurat, a power rooted in his extradimensional birth. This ability, paired with his capacity to manipulate cross-dimensional objects, forces him into self-imposed isolation to shield others. Channeling loneliness into creativity, he pursues DJing, inspired by his adoptive father’s music career. Determined to gain recognition, he films a promotional video in the Ziggurat with childhood friend Haruka Tosabori, unwittingly drawing vengeful Hand Shakers coveting his unique strength.
Haunted by self-doubt, Yukiya navigates evolving bonds with Haruka—who hides her preserved memories of their shared past—and uncovers truths about his lineage. He clashes with Midori Okuike, an antagonist aiming to weaponize his powers, and confronts his adoptive family’s protective secrecy. Transforming from a reluctant hero to a selfless figure, he sacrifices a wish to heal Midori’s terminal illness, defying his instinct for survival.
Having spent eight formative years in the Ziggurat before entering the real world, Yukiya’s accelerated physical maturation left him socially detached, fearing connection. Yet, embracing his dual heritage, he ultimately bridges dimensions, accepts his role as a mediator, and confesses his feelings for Haruka, cementing their partnership as equals in both battle and trust.
