ONA
Description
Ranjiro Kiyama, also known by the nickname Cap'n and called Socho in the Japanese version of the series, is a character in Beyblade Burst Sparking. He is the younger brother of blader Rantaro Kiyama and the founder and leader of his own team, the Wild Bey Gang. His background places him as part of a family deeply connected to Beyblade, and before appearing in Sparking he held a more central role in the earlier Beyblade Burst Turbo season as a major character. By the time of Sparking, he is part of the older generation of talented bladers who return to compete as newer and younger challengers rise.

In appearance, Ranjiro closely resembles his older brother. He has a large, flattened blond hairstyle, hazel eyes, and a small bandage on his left cheek. He also shares a habit with his brother by regularly chewing on a lollipop, with his own being green and yellow in color.

Ranjiro's personality is loud, proud, and highly energetic. He is stubborn and refuses to accept the idea that any blader could be stronger than he is, and he continues to believe in his own strength even after repeated defeats. This confidence drives much of his behavior, and he approaches battles with strong determination rather than caution. However, his stubbornness is balanced by a deep sense of honor and a kind, brotherly nature, which makes him well liked by those around him. He cares about the people he battles alongside and values loyalty and respect within the Beyblade community, especially toward his family and teammates.

His main motivation is to prove that his strength is genuine and that no opponent is beyond his reach. He also wants to uphold the reputation of his family and his team, and his actions are frequently shaped by a desire to support and protect the fellow bladers who look up to him. Over time, his earlier cockiness develops into a more mature sense of responsibility, even though he never fully loses his bold confidence.

In Beyblade Burst Sparking, Ranjiro appears in a supporting role among the experienced bladers who return to face the next generation of competitors. He continues to use a Beyblade associated with the Roktavor line and takes part in high-level battles against powerful opponents. During the events of the season, he suffers a major setback when his Beyblade is destroyed in battle, an experience that forces him to confront the limits of his current abilities. Rather than give up, he works to repair and restore his damaged Beyblade, making him one of only a few characters in the Beyblade Burst story to successfully rebuild their equipment after it was broken in a match. This moment highlights his resilience and his refusal to abandon the Beyblade that represents his commitment to the sport.

Ranjiro is also notable for the respect he has earned within the Beyblade world. His reputation for skill, honor, and brotherly kindness led to him being chosen to join BC Sol, the prominent team that his older brother Rantaro belongs to, which serves as recognition of his growth from a local team leader into a respected competitor on a larger stage. His key relationships include his bond with Rantaro, whose guidance and example shaped him, as well as the members of the Wild Bey Gang who follow his leadership. His interactions with the younger bladers in Sparking also show his role as an experienced figure who represents the standards of the previous generation.

In terms of ability, Ranjiro is a battle-hardened blader whose main strengths are his aggressive enthusiasm, his refusal to yield, and his ability to keep fighting even when the odds are against him. He does not rely on technical trickery but instead favors a direct and forceful style that mirrors his personality. His persistence in battle, combined with his experience and his loyalty to the people around him, makes him a dependable and formidable member of the returning generation, and his arc in Sparking is centered on proving that even after defeat and loss, he can rebuild and continue moving forward.
