Yuki Yoshino, a member of Tōtsuki Culinary Academy's 92nd Generation, calls the Polar Star Dormitory home. Her petite frame features amber hair, usually styled in two playful buns but sometimes worn loose to her chin, and teal eyes radiating mischief and energy. She wears the standard Tōtsuki uniform, sometimes adding a happi coat to cheer on peers during events. Her personality bursts with spirited enthusiasm, a contagious smile, and a cheeky love for gossip. She fiercely defends her friends, especially fellow Polar Star residents, actively working to maintain their unity against academic pressures. She expresses affection by adding "-cchi" to the names of those she likes. Despite her usual cheer, she feels emotions intensely, including anger or worry when friends face risks – like slapping Sōma Yukihira for endangering his enrollment in a reckless duel. She also displays competitiveness in kitchen battles and occasional self-consciousness about her stature. Specializing in wild game cuisine, Yuki earned the nickname "Little Red Riding Hood of the Forest of Wild Beasts." She masters taming gamy flavors to enhance the natural richness of meats like deer, rabbit, and boar, plating dishes creatively with nature-inspired narratives. Her Polar Star room doubles as a menagerie for raising rabbits, deer, geese, and boars. Her long-term goal involves breeding a unique "Polar Star species" chicken for a self-sustaining culinary ecosystem, reflecting her hands-on animal husbandry and sustainable sourcing passion. At the Tōtsuki Friendship and Rapport Training Camp, Yuki showed resilience, completing demanding assignments like preparing 50 dinners after exhausting days and crafting a breakfast buffet dish within an 8-hour test. She reacted strongly to Sōma Yukihira's disappearance to challenge an alumnus, fearing expulsion could fracture their group. Her relief at Polar Star's collective survival brought tears during the celebratory banquet. Yuki participated in the 43rd Tōtsuki Autumn Election after initial selection uncertainty. Her original dish, Duck Cutlet Curry, balanced duck's gaminess with turmeric and orange. She actively supported peers, leading cheer squads for contestants like Megumi Tadokoro. Outside competitions, she engaged in dorm activities: celebrating Sōma’s arrival with a party, encountering Jōichirō Saiba during feast prep, tending the Polar Star garden, and attending orientation ceremonies.
