TV-Series
Description
Ryan Gladstone stands as the primary antagonist within the BeyWheelz narrative. Beginning as a professional BeyWheeler, his overwhelming power eliminated worthy challengers, driving his pursuit of ancient texts describing another world with unique Beys. An expedition to a jungle-based dimensional gateway resulted in an electrical shock when he failed undisclosed conditions, severely injuring his left hand and turning his right eye red. This forced his competitive retirement, leading him to found the organization DREAM to oversee BeyWheeler development and create the covert Dominators to fulfill the gateway’s requirements.
Ryan exhibits heterochromia, retaining a green left eye while his right eye remains red post-accident. His prosthetic left hand stays concealed beneath a black glove. He sports blue hair with bangs and spiked sideburns, typically clad in a gold-themed jacket with red accents, blue pants, and white boots. During Dominators confrontations, he wears a dark hooded robe. For his ultimate battle, he employs a mechanical forearm integrated with a BeyWheelz launcher to amplify his combat prowess.
Initially portrayed as a caring, respectable figure championing BeyWheelz, Ryan’s personality fractures after orchestrating the Judgement Bey tournament. He reveals ambitions to conquer the alternate Bey world, exhibiting power-hungry instability while manipulating events behind the scenes and maintaining his DREAM chairman facade.
His actions ignite the series’ conflict. As DREAM chairman, he hosts the annual BeyWheelz World Championship, expressing admiration for competitors like Sho Tenma and Jin Ryu. When Dominators attack Destection City, Ryan publicly feigns ignorance while secretly directing them. Later, he exposes his dual manipulation of both Dominators and Team Estrella, seeking a Wheeler strong enough to wield his BeyWheel, Claw Shredder Kerbecs, and aid his interdimensional conquest. After Team Estrella rejects him, Ryan deploys subordinates in escalating battles.
In the final clash, Ryan reactivates the dimensional gateway by electrocuting himself, unveiling his mechanical arm and retrieving Claw Shredder Kerbecs from its trophy display. He demonstrates formidable skill, defeating Odin with his signature Hound of Darkness—a purple-hued aura attack. Ultimately, Sho Tenma’s newly developed Cosmic Estrella technique overpowers him, propelling Ryan into the gateway’s electrical pillar and concluding his antagonism.
His BeyWheelz, Claw Shredder Kerbecs, remained embedded in a trophy during retirement but reactivated for his last battle. Ryan declares it the strongest Power-type Bey ever created. Visual and narrative parallels link Ryan to Damian Hart—another Kerbecs wielder—though their personalities diverge sharply, with Damian displaying overt aggression.
