Description
Sadayo Kawakami teaches Japanese and serves as homeroom teacher for class 2-D at Shujin Academy. Initially anxious and cold towards the protagonist due to his criminal record and probation, she warns him against associating with Ryuji Sakamoto, whom she deems a delinquent. This behavior stems partly from Suguru Kamoshida's influence and Principal Kobayakawa's suppression of related discussions. Witnessing the protagonist stand against Kamoshida reveals his sense of justice to her, prompting greater compassion. She later apologizes for her initial judgment and for not confronting Kamoshida's crimes sooner.
Outside teaching, Kawakami moonlights under the alias "Becky" for a housekeeping service, performing chores like cleaning, cooking, and back massages. She adopts an artificially energetic, cat-like persona ("meow ♡") to attract clients but finds the role exhausting, frequently breaking character from fatigue and even collapsing during shifts.
