After three losses, her wish twisted, erasing her friendship memories and causing emotional pain when attempting connections. This trauma briefly hardened her demeanor during battles.

Her recovery centered on bonds with Ruko Kominato and Yuzuki Kurebayashi. Regaining her memories, Hitoe revealed her earlier coldness masked a plan to become an Eternal Girl and free Yuzuki—who had become her LRIG after Hanayo possessed Yuzuki’s body. She reconciled with Ruko and Yuzuki, mending their friendship. Her deck shifted from Midoriko-focused green to red, incorporating Yuzuki’s Living Spirit: Dragon Beast SIGNI.

In Lostorage Conflated WIXOSS, Hitoe was unwillingly pulled back into Selector Battles. Layla, using a Key Card to become an LRIG, defeated her and captured Midoriko. Hitoe later alerted Ruko about Yuzuki’s capture, influencing Ruko’s return to the conflict. During the climax, Hitoe accompanied Ruko and Hanna Mikage to Mayu’s mansion, witnessing the Selector Battle system’s collapse. Post-resolution, she reunited with Yuzuki and Tama upon their return to the human world, restoring their friend group.
