TV-Series
Description
Fifty years before the main events, operative Agent Clover served an unspecified Federation organization. His mission to seize the Pandora Key from the Pandora Kingdom for Federation global domination was thwarted by time-travelers: young Agent Silver Heart, Joker, Queen, and Spade. Critically injured in the confrontation, losing his right arm, he was rescued from death by his future self.
Adopting the identity of Professor Clover, he dedicated himself to researching time manipulation. He partnered with the shapeshifting cat, Doubt, orchestrating significant crimes. They impersonated Joker's deceased parents to infiltrate his mansion and steal the Time Telling Goddess statue, though Joker uncovered the ruse. Professor Clover murdered Diamond Queen's parents, rulers of the Emerald Kingdom, during a treasure heist, killing them personally and burning their castle. He abandoned the infant Queen to die before Silver Heart rescued her; Clover later manipulated Queen by falsely blaming Silver Heart for her parents' deaths, turning her against the phantom thieves temporarily. He similarly caused the shipwreck that killed Spade's parents during another treasure theft. While unconfirmed, strong hints suggest he caused the plane crash that killed Joker's parents.
He encountered Cyan (later Shadow Joker) and his sister Rose after an attack left Rose comatose and Cyan presumed dead. Clover offered Cyan a deal: retrieve three magical crystals for the Staff of Kairos in exchange for awakening Rose. This arrangement led Cyan to become Shadow Joker under Clover's command.
Throughout Season 1, Professor Clover pursued time-related treasures largely behind the scenes. His plans escalated in Season 2 as he targeted the three crystals needed for the Staff of Kairos. He lured Joker to Moonlight Castle while simultaneously attacking Silver Heart's residence to seize the Blue Star crystal. Using the Sigma Drive, he traveled 50 years into the past to acquire the final crystal from the Pandora Kingdom. His ultimate objective was using the Staff of Kairos—powered by the crystals and Rose's abilities—to steal every treasure. Confronting Joker, Queen, Spade, and Shadow Joker at his Statue of Liberty base, he revealed his role in their past tragedies. His scheme ended when he fell into a vat of acid intended for Rose, resulting in permanent death.
Physically, he underwent changes: as Agent Clover, he wore a dark blue jester robe with clover motifs and a concealing hood. After losing his arm, he used a mechanical prosthetic with retractable talons. Later, he wore a mask depicting an evil jester's smile and a more padded robe. His primary weapon was a stun gun emitting electrical charges through a clover-shaped muzzle.
His personality combined intelligence and strategic deception with extreme sadism, obsession with treasure, and vengeance. He took pleasure in others' suffering, openly taunting enemies to despise him. Despite his manipulative nature, he displayed self-preservation instincts, such as saving his past self to ensure his existence.
