Description
Hampnie Hambart, known by his true name Kizuna Astin, is an immortal albino man. He appears around 17 years old despite his actual chronological age of 32, characterized by stark white hair and red eyes. He habitually wears a dark coat and is often seen smoking cigarettes.

Fifteen years before the main events, he gained resurreсtive immortality when death ceased functioning worldwide. This halted his physical aging and enables regeneration from fatal injuries, though extreme trauma before death can cause memory loss. He views this immortality as a curse, fearing he might become the last human. His albinism affected his health since childhood, limiting sun exposure; he attended school weekly with support from family and friends like Julie.

He adopted the alias "Hampnie Hambart" from a fairy tale about a toy that kept moving after breaking, reflecting his undead state. He also called himself the "Man-Eating Toy," cultivating an image of cruelty and violence. He openly despised the deceased, believing they didn't belong among the living, and destroyed bodies without hesitation. This belief drove him to murder Julie's wife six years earlier to grant her peace.

His primary goal was finding his former lover, Hana, with whom he shared a six-month relationship before her unexplained disappearance. Unaware she was pregnant, he later learned she died after giving birth to their daughter, Ai Astin. He initially denied fathering Ai and treated her harshly, pointing a gun at her and destroying her village. Gradually, protective instincts emerged; he pushed her to safety during attacks and urged her to flee when captured.

His character shifted significantly upon confirming Ai was his daughter. Mortally wounded by Hiko's torture during his final human moments, he revealed his true name, Kizuna Astin, and passed his surname to Ai. After resurrecting as an undead, he spent one full day creating cherished memories with her. His deepest wish—to die contentedly surrounded by family—was fulfilled when Ai buried him beside Hana's grave, ending his immortality.

His relationship with childhood friend Julie Sakuma Dmitriyevich fractured after Hampnie killed Julie's wife. Julie sought revenge, but reconciliation began when Ai intervened, emphasizing Hampnie's misguided actions rather than inherent evil. Julie witnessed Hampnie's burial, signifying a partial mending of their bond.

He had a notable encounter with Alis Color, resulting in an immediate duel. The confrontation ended with Alis unharmed and Hampnie leaving the area.
