Description
Yuuichi Komura is one of five Guardians protecting Tamaki Kasuga, the Tamayori Princess. An 18-year-old standing 175 cm tall, he possesses silver hair and yellow-green eyes. As a nine-tailed fox descendant, he commands illusions and spirit fire, projecting blue flames from his palms to ignite targets—sometimes releasing hundreds simultaneously in combat.
His personality reflects extreme quietness and emotional reserve. He frequently spaces out and falls asleep anywhere, even mid-conversation. Despite his aloofness, he is considered the kindest Guardian. He shares a strong affinity for animals, particularly O-chan, Tamaki’s spirit fox companion, often seen with the creature perched on his shoulder in the school library.
Initially viewing his duty to Tamaki as purely obligatory, Yuuichi maintained emotional distance consistent with early Guardian attitudes. Tamaki’s persistent kindness and concern gradually softened his stance, shifting his view of her from a mere charge to a valued individual. He acknowledges her sincerity in wanting her Guardians to prioritize their own lives, demonstrated in tender moments where he comforts her during distress by patting her head and reassuring their shared commitment.
His relationships with fellow Guardians remain largely professional, though he consistently supports them in battles against threats like Logos. A minor comedic moment with Shinji Inukai while bathing O-chan reveals his approachable side. Yuuichi’s hobbies include sleeping and relaxing in the sun, traits Tamaki affectionately compares to those of an elderly person. His documented role remains focused on Guardian duties and subtle camaraderie within the group.
