Description
Jasper is the thirty-sixth male cheetah Jewelpet from Jewel Land, serving as its Gatekeeper. He embodies the core concepts of Honesty and Strong Will. His appearance features lemon yellow fur with brown spots, crimson red jewel eyes made of red jasper, and diamond-shaped jasper decorations on his ears. He wears a golden collar with a diamond-shaped jasper pendant and a matching ring on his tail. In "Jewelpet Kira☆Deco—!", he wears a cowboy outfit: a stetson hat, a white sleeveless jacket, and a sheriff's star badge, reflecting his sheriff role.

His personality blends a typically silent, wise demeanor with underlying immaturity and laziness, particularly highlighted in "Jewelpet Sunshine". He resists cleaning, often leaving his room disordered, and reacts angrily if unnecessary ingredients are added to his curry. Despite these traits, he remains approachable and friendly.

His magical abilities, derived from his Jewel Eyes, instill honesty, courage, insight, and strong conviction in humans, empowering them to resolve problems independently and providing security. Uniquely among Jewelpets, he can open interdimensional gates between Jewel Land and the human world using a lavender-colored key accessed from the gem on his tail.

His background involves a lineage of gatekeepers. A critical lapse in his duty—failing to secure Jewel Land's gates—allowed dark energy from the human world to corrupt Queen Jewelina, causing lasting repercussions.

His design originated from a fan submission in the Jewelpet Designing Contest during "Jewelpet Twinkle☆", with the winner receiving Sanrio merchandise. His character consistently maintains his gatekeeping function and thematic association with keys across all media.
