Description
Kaori Mana lives alone in a moderately sized house within the mountain town of Jōga. She has light brown hair, brown eyes, stands 1.66 meters tall, and possesses a slender build. Her personality is gentle, warm-hearted, and calm, marked by strong compassion. Loneliness drives her to frequently invite neighbors or strangers into her home for conversation.

A skilled violinist, her performances draw regular visits from elderly townspeople who listen reverently, sometimes treating these sessions as pilgrimage-like events where prayers are offered. This musical talent leads her to become the music teacher for Mana Kuzumi, Hiroshi Kuzumi's younger sister. Kaori forms an immediate and close bond with Mana upon meeting her and Hiroshi, partly noting the coincidence that Mana shares part of her name.

Kaori harbors mysteries, including a recurring illness causing severe fatigue, weakness, and periods of deep contemplation or mental withdrawal. Her true significance is her connection to the town's supernatural elements: she is the physical manifestation of the White Wolf Kannon, a local deity tasked with purging corrupted "wolves" in Jōga. In this role, she appears as a young girl wearing an elaborate white outfit and wolf-like mask, executing the will of the land's god. Her actions include confronting individuals like Shunichirō Sakaki, who plots to destroy the town via flooding, and intervening alongside Hiroshi to prevent this catastrophe.
