Description
Mizuki Himeji is a second-year student at Fumizuki Academy and a member of Class 2-F, the lowest-ranked class. Despite her placement, she is an exceptional student, ranking second academically in the entire school. She was assigned to Class F because she left the placement examination early due to a fever, resulting in a zero score. Mizuki is gentle, well-mannered, and intelligent, but her innocent and trusting nature often leads her to accept what others say without question. She has a long-standing crush on her classmate Akihisa Yoshii, who was her first love from elementary school. Although she tries to confess her feelings, a series of unfortunate circumstances always prevents her from succeeding. She becomes easily jealous, especially when Akihisa interacts with Minami Shimada, a classmate who also harbors feelings for him.
Mizuki’s motivations center on developing her confidence and eventually confessing to Akihisa. Throughout the second season, she becomes somewhat more assertive in expressing her emotions, though she remains largely shy and reserved. Her cooking is notoriously terrible—she cooks by conceptual images rather than ingredients, creating dishes that are so dangerous they incapacitate anyone who eats them. She is unaware of how bad her cooking is and fears criticism, so she hides it. When she consumes alcohol, she becomes uncharacteristically bold and outspoken, leading to moments where her suppressed feelings surface.

Her summoned being possesses a special heat ray ability from her bracelet. However, her own physical health is fragile, limiting her stamina in prolonged combat. Her most significant relationship is with Akihisa, for whom she cares deeply, and she takes inspiration from the obsessive devotion of Shouko Kirishima toward Yuuji Sakamoto. She maintains a friendly but occasionally tense rivalry with Minami Shimada for Akihisa’s attention. Her friendships with Kouta Tsuchiya and Yuuji Sakamoto, as well as the rest of Class F, provide her with a support network and contribute to her gradual growth in self-assurance.
