Description
Lieutenant Ethana serves in the Royal Army of Uruk, displaying unwavering loyalty to her commander, Kelb. Despite her military rank, she takes a pragmatic and open-minded stance towards non-military climbers, notably supplying Jil with a bag of gold to recruit adventurers for the tower ascent—recognizing their potential alongside official forces. Ethana survives the catastrophic flooding triggered by Kaaya and Neeba during the tower climb, resuming her duties afterward. While maintaining an obedient facade before King Gilgamesh and his advisors, including Queen Amina, Ethana privately harbors growing doubts about the king's deteriorating mental state and his capacity to govern as his rule descends into tyranny. These doubts culminate in decisive action during "The Sword of Uruk" when she spearheads a military rebellion against King Gilgamesh in episode 9, directly challenging his authority after his transformation into a ruthless ruler. Following the conflict and the tower threat's resolution, Ethana reunites with Kelb, and they marry, marking the personal resolution of her character arc.
