His primary role involves comic relief through exaggerated misfortunes with students and supernatural entities. Displaying a nervous disposition, he reacts hysterically to bizarre occurrences like flying children or demon encounters. Classroom scenes frequently show him disciplining students such as Tsutomu for tardiness or minor infractions, leading to absurd outcomes—like locking Tsutomu in a shed for lateness, inadvertently exposing the boy to supernatural events. Physical comedy defines him, including ripped pants during gym class that reveal multiple underwear layers and accidental anatomy exposure.

His unintentional, non-malicious demon encounters involve mistaking jump-scares for delirium or dismissing supernatural slipping hazards as clumsiness. A pivotal moment occurs when he discovers street money; briefly tempted to keep it, he rejects theft but is incinerated by Enma for touching it. This results in his death and condemnation to Hell, solidifying his perpetual victim role.

Outside the main series, he appears in cameos across Go Nagai-related media. In *New Cutey Honey*, he is seen in a car during a transformation scene and later shaken by another character. He also features briefly in the *Re: Cutey Honey* OVA and *Abashiri Family* manga.
