Description
Siluca Meletes is a 17-year-old human mage celebrated for her exceptional magical talent and potential. Her appearance features blonde hair usually tied in a bun secured by a blue ribbon, with one braided strand framing her face, and distinctive purple eyes. She wears a long, ground-length white cape, white thigh-high boots, white shorts accented by a purple and gold belt, an orange crop-top layered under a white and black coat, and gloves covering her left elbow and right hand. A leather choker with a diamond-shaped locket completes her attire.
Adopted by Aubeste Meletes, Mage Leader of the Factory Alliance, Siluca faced a difficult upbringing. She endured ridicule and discrimination at the Eram Magic Academy due to her ability to manipulate Chaos, an ability that nearly resulted in her death before intervention by her adoptive sister, Aishela, and the academy principal. Though Aubeste cared for her, his strict prioritization of duty over family created a strained relationship, leaving Siluca vulnerable to hostility. She graduated from six out of seven magic faculties, cementing her reputation as a prodigy.
Siluca maintains a focused and largely unflappable demeanor, rarely losing composure even when plans falter, though failures visibly frustrate her. She is determined and unfettered in pursuing her goal of ending the lords' feuding, sometimes exhibiting arrogance and forcefulness in her schemes, including a tendency to withhold strategic details. Beneath this, she remains fundamentally kind, polite, and benevolent. Her dismissive stance toward the Order of the Crest arises from ideological friction: mages view Crests as manifestations of the user's will, contrasting with the Order's belief in their divine nature requiring Order control. Initially shy in romantic matters, she develops deep feelings for Theo Cornaro but hesitates to express them early on, fearing they might be one-sided.
Her magical capabilities span nearly every type of magic. Demonstrated abilities include emitting blinding light from her wand; guarding against physical assaults from melee weapons to arrow barrages; erecting earthen walls to funnel enemies for area-effect spells; launching giant fireballs; firing infused magical missiles; and summoning Chaos creatures or allies like the shadow magic-wielding Lord Balgary. Her wand serves as her primary instrument. Beyond combat, she excels as a military and political strategist, orchestrating Theo Cornaro's rise to power, managing diplomatic relations, and engineering key political maneuvers like the downfall of the Rossini family.
Her pivotal alliance begins when Theo Cornaro rescues her from hostile soldiers while she travels to negotiate with Lord Villar. Impressed by his swordsmanship and virtues, she immediately forms a contract with him to pursue continental peace, shifting allegiance from Villar. She becomes the chief architect of Theo's strategies, often leading others to perceive him as a "Puppet King" while she garners credit for victories. Their professional bond deepens into mutual romantic affection, confessed while sheltering from rain in a forest. She ascends to Imperial Mage Leader when Theo becomes Emperor—a position achieved by unifying the Fantasia Union and Factory Alliance via the re-engagement of Marrine Kreische and Alexis Doucet. Siluca marries Theo during a double wedding ceremony with Marrine and Alexis. Three years after unification, Theo abdicates in favor of Alexis, and the couple retires to Theo's homeland.
Her familial connections include adoptive father Aubeste Meletes and adoptive sister Aishela. Aishela protected Siluca from discrimination and assassination attempts stemming from Aubeste's abandonment, later serving as her guard after recognizing Siluca's perceptiveness during the Great Hall Tragedy, though she initially restrained Siluca from intervening. Siluca also maintains a trusted alliance with Lord Balgary, whom she once rescued.
