Description
Zhang Fei (Chō Hi) Gundam stands as one of the three central sworn brothers alongside Liu Bei (Ryuubi Gundam) and Guan Yu (Kan-u Gundam). His design originates from the Zeta Gundam mobile suit. Hailing from northern Mirisha's Yuushu region, he first fights local bandits before joining the wider anti-Toutaku resistance.

He exhibits a notably impulsive and hot-tempered personality, frequently initiating confrontations driven by strong emotion—a stark contrast to his brothers' strategic approaches. In battle, he wields thunder and lightning techniques, unleashing his signature "Explode, Great Thunder Wave" attack. He also contributes to the combined technique "Unification of Three" performed jointly with Liu Bei and Guan Yu.

Throughout the conflict against Toutaku Zaku's forces, Zhang Fei participates in pivotal engagements like the assault on Korou Fortress, demonstrating fierce loyalty to his brothers. This loyalty is tested during an ambush by Koshin Gyan near a cliffside bridge, where he falls victim to a trap collapsing the structure, plunging all three into the river below. They are later rescued by Bachou Blue Destiny.

As the narrative advances into the "Clash of the Heroes" chapter, Zhang Fei accompanies Liu Bei to Keishuu seeking the strategist Koumei Re-GZ. His combat role expands during Sousou Gundam's southward campaign and the Battle of Red Cliffs. Within the Shou army, he evolves from a passionate warrior into a more seasoned fighter, mastering advanced techniques and demonstrating unwavering commitment to Liu Bei's vision of justice.

Beyond the television series, Zhang Fei appears in a movie special set during episode 4's timeline, actively fighting Toutaku's troops alongside his brothers prior to the bridge collapse. His background and military engagements receive further elaboration in the manga's "Gathering of the Heroes" and "Clash of the Heroes" chapters, which form the anime's basis. The "Battle of the War Gods" manga chapter further chronicles his involvement in conflicts following the Three Kingdoms' establishment, a narrative segment unadapted in the anime.
