Richard Magarey is an Australian actor and voice actor known for his extensive work in English-language dubs of anime series, particularly for productions recorded in Hong Kong. Originally from Adelaide, Australia, Magarey holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts from Flinders University, which he completed in 2004. Following his formal training, he moved to Melbourne to study Hong Kong-style martial arts and film stunt work, later relocating to China in 2006 to pursue a career in action cinema. He has performed as a stuntman and actor in films such as Deep Gold and Irreversi.

Beyond his work in film and stunts, Magarey has gained significant international recognition as the performer Ladybeard, a persona that combines professional wrestling, heavy metal music, and cross-dressing aesthetics. As Ladybeard, he has been the vocalist for musical groups including Ladybaby and Deadlift Lolita.

Magarey has voiced a large number of characters across multiple anime series, with a particularly extensive number of roles in the long-running sports anime franchise Inazuma Eleven. His voice roles in the Inazuma Eleven series include Archer Hawkins, Jack Wallside, Kevin Dragonfly, Tod Ironside, Caleb Stonewall, Darren LaChance, Dave Quagmire, Hector Helio, Joseph King, and Ray Dark. In the English dub of the anime, he notably provides the voice for the two best friends Jack Wallside and Tod Ironside. His work on the franchise also includes the film Inazuma Eleven: Saikyō Gundan Ogre Shūrai, where he reprised the roles of Archer Hawkins, Bauzen, Jack Wallside, Kevin Dragonfly, and Tod Ironside.

His other significant anime voice credits include roles in several major series. He is part of the cast for the English dub of Black Butler, where he voices the characters Grell and Tanaka. In Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, he voices both Zeheart Galette and Woolf Enneacle. His work extends to the role of Tora Igarashi in Maid Sama! and Yusuke Uzaki in LBX. He also appears in the English dub of SD Gundam Sangokuden Brave Battle Warriors, playing Cao Cao Gundam and Zhang Fei Gundam, as well as the role of Hunks in Pumpkin Scissors.
