TV-Series
Description
Viktor, known as "Duke," is the disowned eldest son of a noble family, cursed in childhood by the witch Sade. This curse ensures any living thing he touches dies, leading his mother Gerbera to banish him to a remote forest estate. He resides there with his loyal butler Rob and his childhood friend, the maid Alice Lendrott.

Before the curse, Viktor was outgoing, enjoying play with friends like Alice and Philip. The curse transformed him into an isolated, depressed, and self-loathing figure who viewed himself as a monster. Years of solitude before Alice joined him fostered bitterness and reclusiveness. Her presence gradually improved his outlook, though he retains social anxiety, timidity, and low self-esteem. To prevent accidental contact, he publicly wears gloves and a bird-like plague doctor mask.

His personality blends profound melancholy with inherent kindness and forgiveness. Despite his suffering, he bears no grudges against those who fear him and staunchly opposes harming others. Musically gifted, he excels at piano, composition, and other instruments, later pursuing music professionally. He also demonstrates talent in painting and drawing. The curse fuels a constant longing for physical connection, especially with Alice, whom he loves deeply but cannot touch. Their relationship evolves from mutual teasing to openly acknowledged romance early on, with both confessing their feelings.

Viktor develops through interactions. He befriends witches like Cuff and Zain, aiding their struggles while researching his own curse. He learns to use his curse proactively to protect loved ones, such as killing a monstrous plant. Family relationships improve over time, notably with his sister Viola, though tensions linger with his brother Walter over inheritance. His mother's harshness masks lingering concern. He eventually reconciles with Philip after an initial betrayal.

Resolving the curse involves confronting Sade across time, learning she cursed him to ensure his future meeting with Alice. After breaking the curse, Viktor rejects his inheritance to marry Alice and live as a musician. Post-marriage, he adjusts to physical contact while maintaining bonds with Rob, magical allies, and family, building a new home with Alice.
