Description
Tsubasa Nishikiori, a major character from Go Nagai's works, appears in *Mazinger Edition Z: The Impact!*, *Gakuen Taikutsu Otoko*, and *Violence Jack*. She initially served under Dr. Hell as a biochemistry specialist. During the Bardos Island expedition with Dr. Hell, Juzo Kabuto, and Kenzo Kabuto, she revived the mummified Mycenae priests Tristan and Isolde, fusing them into Baron Ashura. To prevent Ashura from harming the group, she implanted subconscious controls restricting attacks against herself, Dr. Hell, or their associates. Witnessing Dr. Hell's ambitions and Kenzo Kabuto's apparent defection, she detonated explosives on Bardos Island, forcing Dr. Hell into seclusion, seemingly killing Kenzo and her brother Tetsuya Tsurugi, and enabling her secret collaboration with Juzo Kabuto on Mazinger Z's development.

Years later, Tsubasa operated the Kurogane House hot springs resort in Atami, recruiting the Kurogane Five fighters disguised as staff to oppose Dr. Hell. Her past intertwined with the Kabuto family: she married Kenzo Kabuto during the Bardos expedition and bore sons Koji and Shiro Kabuto. She concealed this relationship and her role in Kenzo's death to protect her children. When her former fiancé, Dr. Heinrich, revealed to Shiro that Tsubasa killed Kenzo, she confirmed the truth, fracturing her relationship with her sons. Despite this, she supported Koji's battles against Dr. Hell's Mechanical Beasts, providing tactical guidance and deploying the Kurogane Five.

Tsubasa demonstrated advanced biochemical expertise, reviving deceased Kurogane Five members and creating Ashura's control implants. She possessed extensive knowledge of Mazinger Z's systems and wielded weapons ranging from a tanto to a rocket launcher. Her leadership included overseeing the Kurogane Five and collaborating with scientists on Mazinger Z upgrades like the Jet Scrander.

Key events tested her resolve: confronting Heinrich in Germany, facing creations Baron Ashura and Viscount Pygman, and journeying to Bardos' past during a conflict involving Zeus and Hades. When Pygman attacked the Kurogane House disguised as Kenzo piloting Energer Z, Shiro shielded Tsubasa, acknowledging her as his mother. Kenzo later appeared, revealing Dr. Hell controlled him via a Kedora parasite. Tsubasa forgave him before he sacrificed himself to weaken Dr. Hell's Hell King Gordon. With his dying breath, Kenzo warned that Dr. Hell's defeat would awaken the Mycenae Empire—a prophecy fulfilled when Baron Ashura performed a ritual suicide to resurrect it.

In other media, Tsubasa appeared in *Violence Jack*'s Golden City arc as a yakuza gang leader aiding the protagonist and in *Susano Oh* with a similar bathhouse proprietor role. Her core traits—reserved demeanor, strategic secrecy, guilt over past actions, and unwavering protection of allies—remained consistent.
