Fujihime is a ten-year-old descendant of the Star Clan, a lineage dedicated to assisting the Ryūjin no Miko. As the daughter of the Minister of the Left, a high-ranking official in the imperial court, she resides in the Star Clan mansion and employs a very formal manner of speech befitting her station. The title "hime" denotes her status as a child of a wealthy and influential family. She is the first person the protagonist Akane meets upon arriving in the capital of Kyou.

When the Imperial Palace is engulfed by curses and spiritual defilement, Fujihime falls gravely ill alongside other nobles, afflicted by the overwhelming spiritual taint. She imparts guidance and warnings to Akane, informing her of her power to seal vengeful spirits while cautioning that such acts may bring personal harm.
