Takemikazuchi leads the Takemikazuchi Familia in Orario. His appearance embraces traditional Japanese style, featuring black hair arranged in an old-fashioned manner and dark eyes, paired with period-appropriate clothing.
He shares a friendly rapport with Hestia, having taught her customs like the dogeza. Takemikazuchi shows kindness to Familia members but remains oblivious to the effects of his actions, frequently appearing insensitive. This trait extends to him being characterized as a natural gigolo.
His combat prowess stems from his nature as a God of War. Physically restricted below Level 1 adventurer capabilities, his mastery of martial arts—including judo and ninjutsu—allows him to defeat foes up to Level 4 by turning their strength and speed against them. He is proficient with axes, bows, swords, spears, and throwing weapons like shuriken. However, normal human stamina limits him to swift engagements. Notable techniques include:
* **Mikazuchi:** An aerial throw derived from "Frankensteiner," generating bolt-like force. Only Mikoto mastered it within the Familia.
* **Zekka:** An advanced quick-draw technique named by Mikoto, matching Mikazuchi in power.
During the Great Faction War, he eliminated 21 einherjars before defeat, marking the Freya Familia's largest loss in the conflict. His equipment includes the Goibniu Familia-crafted short sword Tenka, which he promised to give Mikoto upon her return to his Familia.
Originating from a Far Eastern shrine co-managed with Tsukuyomi and other gods, Takemikazuchi brought shrine orphans to Orario two years prior to financially support the shrine. They formed secret bonds with Sanjouno Haruhime, sneaking her out nightly despite diplomatic tensions with her father. The Familia emblem depicts a sword planted in the ground, and their base is the Temporary Residence Townhouse. Members include Level 2 adventurers Kashima Ouka (captain), Yamato Mikoto (on temporary leave), Hitachi Chigusa, and Asuka.
Key relationships show Mikoto learned his techniques before her temporary transfer to Hestia Familia. His mythological namesake, a Japanese thunder and sword god, defeated Takeminakata in a sumo match to establish dominance over Izumo. This aligns with his combat emphasis on technique over brute force.
