Gemini represents two brothers, Saga and Kanon, sharing the Gemini Gold Saint mantle across Saint Seiya's storylines. A third character, Sōjirō Tokito, later inherits the title. Saga, the original Gemini Saint, harbored a fractured psyche: one aspect benevolent and loyal to Athena, the other corrupted, murdering the previous Pope and seizing control of the Sanctuary. His dark side attempted to assassinate the infant Athena, an act thwarted by Sagittarius Aiolos. During the Sanctuary arc, Saga's noble personality briefly resurged, leading him to suicide as penance. Resurrected by Hades to assault Sanctuary, Saga's spirit ultimately remained faithful to Athena. His spirit later aided allies against threats like the Titan Cronos. Saga wielded the devastating Galaxian Explosion technique, mastered light-speed combat via the Seventh Sense, and achieved autonomy in the Underworld through the Eighth Sense. Kanon, Saga's twin, began as an antagonist, imprisoned for inciting Saga's dark side. He later manipulated Poseidon into warring against Athena. Redeemed, Kanon fought alongside the Bronze Saints to atone. In the Hades Chapter - Inferno, he guided Shiryu and Hyoga through the Underworld, using Gemini abilities like spatial manipulation via Another Dimension to overcome obstacles and defeat Specters. His knowledge of the Underworld's nine prisons and landmarks proved vital. Kanon sacrificed himself at the Wailing Wall, destroying the barrier to Elysium with his cosmos to enable the protagonists' advance, completing his redemption. Sōjirō Tokito, featured in "Saint Seiya: Meiō Iden – Dark Wing," is a subsequent Gemini Gold Saint. Trained secretly by Sagittarius Aiolos from childhood, he hid his Saint identity from his twin brother, Shōichirō, and childhood friend Cattleya (Athena's reincarnation), whom he was tasked to protect. His story involves confronting Shōichirō after his brother became one of Hades's Three Leaders, exploring loyalty and conflict within the Gemini legacy.
