Description
Chitose Nanbu is a 15-year-old female priest at Saienji Temple, representing the human realm in Buddhist cosmology. She has light red hair, olive eyes, stands 163 cm tall, and measures 95-58-85. Generally kind and helpful, she reacts strongly to Ikkou Satonaka's perverted behavior or other women's romantic interest in him, fueled by unacknowledged feelings she denies and never confesses.

Raised in an extremely small rural town with limited social interactions, her background includes a recurring gag about all essential businesses—post office, movie rental, clothing shop—operating from a single two-story building. This environment occasionally impacts her social skills.

Chitose excels at rebuking others, particularly Ikkou during his inappropriate actions or ghosts causing disturbances. Despite her reasonable demeanor, she passionately enjoys horror movies, often forcing others to watch them. Her dynamic with Ikkou involves frequent physical confrontations triggered by jealousy or misunderstandings, where she swiftly harms him with minimal provocation—especially when women flirt with him, reinforcing her tsundere traits. This jealousy intensifies in the second season with rival Kazuki Kazusano's arrival, escalating Chitose's competitive behavior.

Yuuko Atoda repeatedly targets Chitose for her bust size, causing recurring harassment and group conflicts. Chitose's character remains consistent throughout the series, with no exploration of family or pre-temple life beyond her rural origins. Her role focuses on exorcist duties, interactions with Ikkou, and her position within the temple group.
