Description
"Amaenaide yo!! Katsu!!" is a comedic supernatural anime series centered around the lives of a group of young nuns-in-training at the Saienji Temple. The protagonist, Ikkou Satonaka, is a novice monk with a peculiar condition: whenever he is exposed to sexual stimuli, he transforms into a powerful exorcist capable of banishing evil spirits. This ability, while useful, often leads to awkward and humorous situations due to the nature of its activation.

The series primarily revolves around the daily lives of Ikkou and the six nuns—Sumi Ikuina, Haruka Amanogawa, Kazuko Kawashima, Tomoko Inui, Chitose Nanbu, and Hibiki Amakawa—as they train to become full-fledged nuns. Their training involves not only spiritual and physical discipline but also combating malevolent spirits that threaten the temple and its surroundings. The nuns, each with distinct personalities and quirks, frequently find themselves in comedic and chaotic scenarios, often involving Ikkou's accidental transformations.

The narrative is episodic, with each episode typically featuring a new supernatural threat or a comedic situation arising from the characters' interactions. The series balances lighthearted humor with moments of action and exorcism, creating a blend of comedy and supernatural elements. The dynamic between Ikkou and the nuns is a central focus, with their relationships evolving through various misadventures and challenges.

While the primary tone is comedic, the series occasionally delves into the characters' backstories and motivations, providing depth to their personalities. The nuns' dedication to their training and their camaraderie are recurring themes, as is Ikkou's struggle to control his powers and fulfill his duties as a monk. The interplay between the characters' personal growth and the episodic nature of the plot drives the series forward, maintaining a balance between humor and character development.

1Episode 1
Ikko Satonaka returns to Saienji Temple after a training period away. The six nuns greet him, but Ikko’s habitual impure thoughts resurface during their first interactions. His sealed spiritual power reactivates the moment he succumbs to those desires, transforming him into a super-powered monk. The transformation halts a minor incident on the temple grounds but also scatters the nuns and damages part of the building. Hinata and the others attempt to reassert control, forcing Ikko to undergo additional restrictions on his movements. A young girl arrives at the temple entrance, her sudden appearance carrying a deliberate challenge. She reveals her own supernatural abilities, deflecting the nuns’ initial attempts to reason with her. The girl states she intends to claim an artifact tied to the temple’s founder, placing her in direct opposition to the residents. Ikko steps in to stop her, but his powers trigger uncontrollably, leaving the situation unresolved. The nuns manage to secure the artifact temporarily, and the girl agrees to stay as a guest, watching their every move. With an unpredictable rival now living under the same roof and his powers more unstable than before, Ikko faces stricter surveillance and an uncertain confrontation ahead.

The new school year begins at Tōtōsui High School. Ikkō, Chitose, Yūko, and Sumi advance to their second year, while Haruka and Sakura become third-year students, with Sakura assuming the role of student council president. Hinata enters as a first-year student. During the entrance ceremony, the spirit of the first student council president appears and creates strong winds that lift the skirts of all the female students, causing chaos. The five nuns from the Saienji temple work together to subdue and imprison the spirit. Kazuki, a new first-year who represents her class with a speech, secretly releases the spirit after the others contain it. Kazuki deliberately uses the freed spirit to force Ikkō into an awakening of his powers. Ikkō transforms and exorcises the spirit, but the awakening also triggers his lustful curse. After the exorcism, the other nuns must deal with Ikkō's resulting perverted behavior. Kazuki's orchestration of the incident reveals her active interest in manipulating Ikkō's abilities. The episode establishes Kazuki as a deliberate antagonist who openly challenges the group's efforts to control Ikkō. Chitose's jealousy toward Kazuki's advances on Ikkō intensifies as a direct consequence.

4Episode 4
Ikko Satonaka’s accumulated stress from the nuns’ constant teasing and physical proximity reaches a breaking point. The nuns, unaware of his growing tension, continue their usual antics, each competing for his attention through increasingly provocative actions. Ikko’s attempts to meditate and regain composure fail as his suppressed desires manifest in uncontrolled bursts of spiritual power. The uncontrolled energy causes chaos around the temple, disrupting daily activities and alarming the nuns. Haruka steps in to assess the situation and identifies the stress buildup as the direct cause. She instructs the nuns to maintain distance, forcing them to restrain their usual behavior. Ikko isolates himself to focus on purification rituals, but the sudden lack of interaction creates an awkward standoff. The tension culminates when a minor incident triggers another outburst, endangering the temple’s sacred artifacts. Haruka intervenes with a binding technique that temporarily neutralizes Ikko’s power, restoring order. The nuns agree to a temporary truce, recognizing their role in the crisis. The episode closes with Ikko resuming basic training under strict supervision, uncertain whether his control will hold when the nuns resume their normal behavior.
5激突!? 夏合宿!
The Saienji temple nuns and Ikko arrive at a mountain temple for a joint summer training camp with the nuns from the Kanzenji temple. Haruka, a confident nun from Kanzenji, immediately challenges the Saienji group, focusing her attention on Ikko. Ikko attempts to maintain his composure but inadvertently triggers his usual perverted reactions when in close proximity to the nuns. Haruka reveals her own ability to amplify the dark energy that causes Ikko’s transformations, forcing him to struggle against losing control. The Kanzenji nuns dismiss the Saienji group as undisciplined, leading to a competition in both spiritual training and menial tasks. During a test of endurance in a waterfall, Ikko’s power surges uncontrollably when Haruka secretly exposes him to her energy. The nuns from both temples intervene to suppress the outburst, but the incident exposes the growing instability of Ikko’s powers. After the competition, the Saienji group learns that Haruka serves a rogue monk named Youkan, who intends to use Ikko’s abilities for his own purposes. Haruka withdraws with Youkan’s orders, leaving the Saienji nuns aware that a deliberate scheme targets Ikko. The episode closes with the group returning to the temple, knowing that further confrontations with Youkan’s followers are imminent.
6Mayowanaideyo!!
Ikkou and Hinata complete their week of training at Saichouji temple. Jotoku sends them into Danda Cave, one of the few locations close to the underworld, for their final trial. Inside the cave, spirits tied to Hinata's Naraka realm torment her and convince her to abandon the human world. Ikkou steps between Hinata and the spirits, refusing to let them take her. His intervention gives Hinata the resolve to reject the spirits' offer. Hinata severs her ties to the demonic entities that have accompanied her since childhood. The cave trial concludes with Hinata achieving a new level of control over her unstable powers. The group returns to Saienji temple, where the other nuns await them. Chitose observes Hinata's transformation and Ikkou's role in it. Despite the success, Kazuki's ongoing interest in Ikkou's abilities remains a looming concern.
7Episode 7
8Episode 8
The monks and nuns of Saienji Temple travel to a local summer festival. Haruka separates from the group and encounters an old man running a fox mask stall. The man gives Haruka a mask without charge, and as soon as Haruka puts it on, a fox spirit takes possession of his body. The spirit uses Haruka’s body to snatch food from stalls and harass female attendees. Chitose, Sumi, and the other nuns attempt to subdue Haruka, but each physical contact triggers Haruka’s nyannyan power, causing the nuns to succumb to their own lustful impulses and become incapacitated. Chitose identifies the entity as a kitsune that amplifies the desires of its host, making direct exorcism ineffective. The nuns regroup and decide to perform a purification ritual from a distance, channeling their spiritual energy in unison. Sumi coordinates the ritual, instructing the nuns to avoid direct touch while focusing their power on the mask. The spirit resists by intensifying Haruka’s influence, forcing the nuns to withstand waves of temptation. After a sustained effort, they successfully expel the spirit from Haruka, and the mask falls to the ground. The old man at the stall collects the mask and reveals himself to have been the spirit all along, stating he intended to test the group’s resolve. Haruka and the nuns return to the temple, where the nuns express frustration over their repeated failures and commit to stricter training.
9Episode 9
The monks of Saienji Temple prepare for the annual spring festival, which includes a ritual requiring the combined spiritual power of all residents. Myouei, the head monk of the rival Myouei Temple, arrives with his attendants and publicly challenges Saienji’s right to perform the ritual. He claims that the temple’s current occupants, including the nuns, lack the discipline to uphold the tradition. Ikko attempts to defend the temple, but Myouei reveals a technique that temporarily seals the supernatural abilities of the nuns. Without their powers, the nuns become vulnerable, and Myouei’s attendants physically block access to the ritual grounds. Ikko retreats with the nuns to the temple’s main hall, where Haruka explains that the sealing technique exploits a weakness in their individual spiritual control. Ikko spends the night retraining each nun to synchronize their energies without relying on his usual method of absorbing their negative emotions. The next morning, Ikko and the nuns return to the festival grounds and successfully perform the ritual using their newly synchronized powers. Myouei, forced to acknowledge their success, withdraws his challenge but warns that the regional temple council will review Saienji’s standing. The episode ends with Ikko receiving a formal notice of inspection from the council, setting the stage for a new institutional threat.
10Episode 10
11Episode 11
Ikko’s Nyorai power activates uncontrollably as the spirits of the Seven Wise Men fully possess Haruka, Hinata, and the other nuns. Haruka swings her staff at Ikko, her movements driven entirely by the spirit within her. Ikko dodges but refuses to strike back, fearing he will harm her physical body. Yomogi and Mutsuki attempt to restrain Haruka, but the possessed nuns easily overpower them with enhanced strength. Ikko’s own power begins to consume him, manifesting as a dark aura that threatens to destroy the temple. Kazuki and Sakura arrive and try to seal Ikko’s power using a barrier talisman, but the combined force of the spirits shatters it. Ikko recalls Kannon’s warning that losing control would erase his connection to the Nyorai power permanently. He makes a deliberate choice to accept the risk and deliberately lowers his defenses, allowing the spirits to target him directly. The possessed nuns converge on Ikko, and at the moment of impact, Ikko redirects the spiritual energy back into the spirit seals on each nun, breaking the possession. Exhausted, Ikko collapses, and the nuns regain their senses. However, the released spirits coalesce into a single massive entity that rises from the temple grounds, setting up the final battle for the next episode.
12Episode 12
The demon fully manifests from the temple’s sacred tree, its physical form tearing through the main hall. Ikko, Haruka, and the other monks channel their Nyorai powers simultaneously, forming a combined barrier to contain the entity. Yomogi struggles against the demon’s lingering influence inside her, her body trembling as she attempts to sever the connection. Chitose shouts instructions from the sidelines, directing the monks to synchronize their chants and focus their energy on the tree’s root. The demon retaliates by unleashing shockwaves that scatter the group and crack the temple’s foundation. Ikko pushes himself to his feet and places both hands directly on the tree, absorbing the demon’s malice into his own body. Haruka, Kasumi, and the others link their hands behind him, transferring their remaining spiritual power to prevent him from being consumed. The demon shrieks and dissolves, the tree reverting to its dormant state, but Ikko collapses unconscious from the strain. When he awakens, the head priest announces that Kasumi must depart for a distant training temple to fully master the powers she awakened during the fight. She bids farewell to the group at the station, leaving her amulet with Ikko as a promise to return. The episode closes with Ikko gripping the amulet while the train vanishes from sight, the remaining monks now facing the challenge of holding the temple together with one member gone.
13Episode 13
The residents of Saienji gather at a movie studio under the pretext of filming a promotional video. Jotoku assigns them this task to investigate reports of a ghost haunting the facility. Kazuki Kazusano joins the group, her presence continuing to create friction with Chitose. The group divides into acting and production roles to maintain their cover. While filming, they discover the ghost is a young woman who refuses to leave the studio. She mistakes Ikkou for her former lover due to his resemblance to the man. The ghost’s emotional attachment causes her to possess various crew members in an attempt to approach him. The girls attempt exorcisms, but their methods fail because the ghost reacts violently to direct spiritual attacks. Kazuki uses the chaos to provoke Ikkou into awakening his powers, hoping to absorb them for herself. Ikkou transforms but loses control, forcing the group to restrain him before he causes further damage. The ghost ultimately dissipates after realizing Ikkou is not the person she waited for. The crew finishes their fake production, but Kazuki’s obsession with stealing Ikkou’s abilities remains unresolved.
