Dick Smallberries Jr.

Description
Dick Smallberries Jr. is a pseudonym used by the American voice actor Bryce Austin Papenbrook for select credits in anime dubbing. Born on February 24, 1986, in Los Angeles, California, he is the son of voice actors Debbie Rothstein and the late Bob Papenbrook, which placed him in the industry from an early age. Papenbrook has built a substantial career providing voices for English adaptations of anime, video games, and animation, often through studios like Bang Zoom! Entertainment and Studiopolis. He is also a trained martial artist, holding a fourth-degree black belt.

Under the name Dick Smallberries Jr., Papenbrook has been credited in several anime series. He voiced the character Valya in the 2009 animated film First Squad: The Moment of Truth. In the television series Ah My Buddha, he provided the voice for the main character, Ikkou Satonaka. He also voiced the character Omi Kiriyama in the English dub of the series Kanokon: The Girl Who Cried Fox. These roles were typically recorded under the direction of Ruben Arvizu at Arvintel Media Production, a recurring collaboration for dubs of that era.

Beyond these specific credits, Papenbrook is widely recognized for his lead roles in major anime franchises under his own name, including Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan, Kirito in Sword Art Online, and Inosuke Hashibira in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. His work has earned him recognition within the voice acting community, including a Best Male Lead Vocal Performance award from the BTVA Anime Dub Awards.
