Description
Gansaku Nanbu, a middle-aged man with weathered, tanned skin and a coarse beard, wears a black eye patch over his right eye—a stark reminder of a debt settled violently. His faded pale cap, rumpled yellow shirt, and frayed orange vest frame a life unraveled by gambling losses, now confined to a truck after his boxing gym’s collapse. Once a boxer turned underground coach, he profited by ordering fighters to throw matches, a scheme shattered when Joe, his reluctant protégé, won unexpectedly. This victory deepened his debts to the ruthless Fujimaki, forcing him into an uneasy alliance with Joe to compete in Megalonia, their last gamble for freedom.

Years later, as "Nomad," he lingers in boxing’s shadows, coaching Joe through clandestine bouts. Their bond, once transactional, hardens into mutual dependence, marked by shared scars and unspoken regrets. His past as a manipulator claws at him, guilt etched alongside physical wounds from years of exploitation. Yet his defiant vow—"I’ll show you exactly what we frauds can do"—fuels a gritty resolve to outrun betrayal and debt, one fight at a time.
