TV-Series
Description
Born in 2040 and standing 165cm tall, Gentiane emigrated at age three from an unspecified location to grow up in Odessa's harbor area. She graduated in 2062, immediately joining Griffin & Kryuger during the PMC's Sangvis Ferri recruitment drive.
Her appearance features wavy shoulder-length pink hair with gradient tips (solid pastel pink in the anime). She wears a distinctive choker with a small medal matching the design on her hip flask, typically dressing in a white shirt, black tie, forest green skirt, black stockings, fingerless gloves, and shoes.
Personality-wise, Gentiane dislikes overtime work and often sleeps in, requiring adjutants like G36 or Kalina to wake her. She delegates report-writing to Kalina but demonstrates strong situational judgment in combat. Despite lax tendencies, she deeply respects Dolls as individuals, avoiding unnecessary risks to their safety during deployments.
Gentiane's story began overseeing Area S09's Base 794. After recovering M4A1, she deployed echelons to rescue M4 SOPMOD II, using tactical diversions to lure Sangvis Ferri units onto a bridge for elimination. When Sangvis attacked her base, she held defenses until reinforcements returned and persuaded Helian to authorize AR-15's rescue mission against Hunter.
During Intruder's ambush, she used echelons as bait for sniper teams to eliminate the ringleader. She attended Griffin's strategic meeting on Plan Parapluie, outperforming Commander Kamolov in simulations by accounting for her Dolls' individual traits.
After artillery struck Griffin's special ops base, Gentiane joined frontline defense in a combat exoskeleton. She advocated for AR Team operating independently against Destroyer instead of reinforcing the base. When Dreamer trapped AR Team, she objected to Kryuger's order to sacrifice echelons for their retreat, arguing it unnecessary. This confrontation prompted Helian to reveal AR Team's strategic importance.
Following AR-15's death, Gentiane received promotion to command Area S05 and protect the quarantined AR Team. She later assisted Persica in diversionary attacks on Sangvis HQ and Jupiter cannons, openly disliking Persica's manipulative methods.
Trivia notes her name references the Gentiana flower, paralleling Helianthus (sunflower). In "Doll's Song" media, she appears as a rabbit-like creature with bat wings. The anime adaptation reveals her full name as "Gentiane Camus" and birthplace Drean, alluding to philosopher Albert Camus.
