Description
Chiaki Asami survived the brutal Khmer Rouge killing fields as a child, enduring forced labor in work camps where he buried executed victims while severely underfed. This trauma forged his unmatched survival instincts and aggression alongside his childhood friend Akira Hojo. After escaping to Japan, both found the country stagnant and made a pact to transform it into their personal sanctuary. They determined their roles through rock-paper-scissors, leading Asami into politics while Hojo entered the yakuza.

Asami launched his political career as an advisor, leveraging sharp intelligence and fierce ambition to ascend Japan's political hierarchy. His ultimate goal was becoming the youngest member of the Japanese Diet and later Prime Minister, aiming to reform the system dominated by aging conservative politicians, particularly targeting the Liberal Democratic Party analogue. He formed his own party to represent younger generations, facing relentless opposition from established figures like Isaoka, an influential political "old fox" who became his personal nemesis.

Throughout his rise, Asami employed ruthless, high-stakes strategies, including staging an assassination attempt against himself to garner public sympathy. He maintained a secret alliance with Hojo, whose underworld influence facilitated Asami's political maneuvers. His relationships included a romance with university student Yuki and a strategic liaison with Besitt, an American trade minister who became a key foreign ally following their affair.

Asami achieved his ambition by becoming Prime Minister, implementing reforms to revitalize Japan's political system. His journey concluded with a return to Cambodia alongside Hojo, where he died from an unspecified illness shortly after arrival.
