Hiroshi Abe
Description
Hiroshi Abe is a Japanese actor and former model who has provided voice work for a notable series of animated films. Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, he began his career in the entertainment industry after winning a modeling contest in March 1985. His success as a model, including appearing on the cover of Men's Nonno magazine for its first 43 issues, led to opportunities in television and film. He made his acting debut in 1988 and is a graduate of Chuo University.
While Abe is primarily known for his extensive work in live-action television and film, he has a distinct and significant credit in the world of anime for his portrayal of the iconic character Kenshiro. He voiced the role across the entire pentalogy of films in the Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken (New Saviour Legend Fist of the North Star) series. These films include Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken: Raoh-den Junai no Shō (2006), Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken: Yuria-den (2007), Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken: Raoh-den Gekitō no Shō (2007), Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken: Toki-den (2008), and Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken Zero: Kenshirō-den (2008).
