Paul Dobson is a British-born Canadian voice actor known for an extensive body of work in anime, animation, and video games, primarily recorded at various studios in Vancouver, British Columbia. Born on December 7, 1963, he has been active in the voice acting industry since the early 1990s. He is part of a prominent family of voice actors, being the brother of Michael Dobson and Brian Dobson.
Dobson's career encompasses a wide range of roles in anime dubbed for English-language audiences. He is particularly well-known for his work in the Inuyasha franchise, where he voiced multiple characters, including the primary antagonist Naraku, the flea demon Myoga, and the character Ginta. He reprised the role of Naraku for InuYasha: The Final Act and continued as Myoga in the sequel series Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon. Another significant role was as the villainous Dark King Vearn in the 2020 anime adaptation of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai. His other notable anime credits include the role of Chiaki Asami in the OVA Sanctuary, Folken Fanel in the Ocean Productions dub of The Vision of Escaflowne, and the voice of Demitri Maximoff in the Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge OVA.
