Description
Kazuto Iizuka is a 14-year-old middle school student from a middle-class family. His mother worries about his extensive anime watching, especially his fondness for the magical girl series "Yongo-chan" or "Magical Girl #4," reflecting his otaku interests.

He meets Narue Nanase after she rescues him from an alien disguised as an abandoned dog. Using the name on the baseball bat she left behind, he tracks her down and invites her to tea. Despite her attempts to dissuade him—even revealing her alien origins—he persists with sincere acceptance, sparking their relationship. Kazuto immediately demonstrates loyalty by trying to defend Narue's father from an alien assassin at their home, strengthening their bond.

Kazuto possesses a kind, passive personality and ordinary demeanor, yet shows unwavering devotion to Narue. He consistently supports her through challenges like societal skepticism about her alien identity and interpersonal conflicts, though his abilities are limited. He evolves into an "Unfazed Everyman," adapting to the frequent weirdness surrounding Narue—encounters with aliens, androids, and interstellar politics—without excessive panic. His experiences include being transformed into animals such as a cat or mouse by alien technology, forcing him to navigate unexpected physical changes.

He interacts with classmates like the confident Masaki Maruo, who offers romantic advice, and Hajime Yagi, who initially doubts Narue's alien claims. Kazuto also forms bonds with Narue's family, including her half-sister Kanaka—a full-blooded alien appearing younger due to time dilation—and Bathyscaphe, Kanaka's android caretaker and retired starship. As the manga progresses, Kazuto faces larger conflicts, such as timeline disruptions caused by "Serpents." In one alternate timeline, he and Narue vanish for years, altering their friends' lives. He later participates in mitigating a disaster on planet Greenday, inadvertently changing historical events. During the "Divine Pillar" crisis, Kanaka and allies from interstellar factions rescue him, highlighting his role as an "Action Survivor" in cosmic conflicts.

In the manga's distant finale, set seven years later, Kazuto marries Narue and remains on Earth after the Galactic Union and United Stars depart the solar system. They live peacefully, reflecting his enduring commitment.
