Dino Stego is a Core Dino Knight, a prehistoric Stegosaurus transformed by Earth to defend against Dragozaur aliens. He shifts into a metallic warrior mode when reanimated for combat. His combative nature drives him to actively seek Dragozaur confrontations, deploying his signature Stego Skeletal Revolution attack by rotating his chest to spin enemies.

His prehistoric past includes a relationship with another Stegosaurus named Daisy, revealed during the series. Part of Daisy's fossil remains under the care of human researcher Dr. Gale.

Throughout the conflict, Dino Stego acquires enhanced combat capabilities via Dino Weapons—smaller Dino Knights that convert into armaments. Dino Kenty, which transforms into a drill, attaches to him after initial use by Dino Brachio.

He operates from the Dinotarium alongside fellow Core Dino Knights like Dino Tyranno and Dino Tricera, maintaining his role as a frontline combatant focused on physical engagements against the Dragozaurs.
