Carlos Ysbert is a Spanish actor of theater, film, television, and voice acting, recognized for his extensive career in dubbing. He was born in Madrid on July 4, 1956, into a renowned family of actors, being the grandson of José Isbert and the son of María Isbert. His entry into the world of dubbing was somewhat serendipitous, beginning with a small role dubbing a parrot in a film directed by Jesús Franco, after which he gradually established himself in the profession.

While Ysbert is best known for his iconic roles dubbing live-action actors such as James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano in The Sopranos and, most famously, as the Spanish voice of Homer Simpson in the animated series The Simpsons since the year 2000, his career also includes a significant body of work in the realm of anime and animated series for the Spanish market. His voice has been featured in the Spanish dubs of several notable titles. He provided voices for the series Dinozaurs: The Series as Dino Stego and Flint: The Time Detective as Dino and Rocky Martillo. In the long-running One Piece franchise, he voiced characters in two films, playing Donald Moderate and Fujitora in One Piece Stampede, and reprising the role of Fujitora in One Piece Film Red. His other anime credits include roles in Fullmetal Alchemist as the Ishbal Chief (first voice), Monster Rancher as Hare, Yu-Gi-Oh! as Lumis, and a variety of characters across different Pokémon series and films, such as Lugia in Pokémon 2000 - The Movie. He also participated in the Spanish dub of the acclaimed Studio Ghibli film Princess Mononoke, providing the voice for the character Gonza.
