Peter Lurie is an American voice actor known for his extensive work in anime dubbing, animation, and video games since the mid-1990s. He is also a television personality and horse racing commentator.

Lurie was born Peter Hill Lurie on January 16, 1962, in Los Angeles, California. His entry into voice acting was serendipitous; while working as a tour guide at Universal Studios Hollywood, his voice was overheard by a recording studio owner who suggested he pursue voice-over work. This led to his first job in the industry for the ABC program Wild World of Kids.

In anime, Lurie has portrayed a wide array of characters. He voiced Dino Stego in the series Dinozaurs: The Series and Slapper in Transformers: Robots in Disguise. Another significant anime role was Dan Dastun in The Big O, a part he played across 25 episodes. He also provided voices for Chen in Wolf's Rain and King Gale Rareglove in Rave Master. In the long-running Naruto series, Lurie voiced several characters, including Kidomaru and the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, in both the original series and Naruto: Shippuden. His other anime credits include roles in Bleach, Monster, Code Geass, and Trigun, where he was sometimes credited under the alias Chuck Farley.

Beyond anime, Lurie is highly recognized for his voice work in video games. He is perhaps best known as the voice of Vulcan Raven in Metal Gear Solid and other installments of the series. He has frequently voiced Marvel Comics characters, most notably the villain Sabretooth in various projects including the X-Men Legends video games and the Wolverine and the X-Men animated series. He also portrayed the antagonist Paxton Fettel in the F.E.A.R. video game series and took on the role of Solid Snake in Ape Escape 3, substituting for the character's usual voice actor.

Lurie's career is marked by recurring collaborations with a network of voice actors frequently featured in productions dubbed at studios in Los Angeles. He has worked alongside performers such as Steve Blum, Kirk Thornton, and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn on numerous projects.

A notable aspect of Lurie's professional life is his parallel career in horse racing. An enthusiast since childhood, he has worked as a horse race commentator for HRTV and TVG Network, and as an in-house host for racetracks including Indiana Grand Racetrack. His voice can also be heard in the Academy Award-winning animated short film The ChubbChubbs!.
