Description
Aoi Arisugawa, granddaughter of the Magical Gate virtual reality system's developer Professor Arisugawa, escaped the initial Deletloss virus attack alongside her close friend Kento Yuki. Learning of Kento's mission with the Web Knight Gladion to rescue trapped children and defeat Deletloss, she joins their effort. Aoi does not pilot Web Knights; instead, she operates as the Combat Information Center coordinator and mission operator from the Magical Station base. She works with the support program Karon and Kento's younger brother Kaito (when not piloting), managing operations, coordinating pilots and Web Knights, and providing strategic support.
Aoi's connection to the Magical Gate is profound: the system's autonomous management AI, Ange, possesses a personality modeled after her late mother, Mika Arisugawa. Ange's fairy-like appearance reflects how Kento and the others perceive it. During the final battle against Deletloss, Ange channels the collective hopes and prayers of everyone through Aoi, amplifying Kento and Gladion's resolve. Stationed primarily at Magical Station throughout the conflict, Aoi fulfills a critical non-combat role focused on operational command, logistical support, and communications.
