Infected and brainwashed, he unwillingly piloted the Pegasion Web Knight against the protagonists under Deletross's command. Kento Yuuki and Gladion defeated him in combat, breaking the virus's control and freeing him. After rescue, he joined Kento's team as a Web Diver, transitioning to pilot the core Web Knight Daitarion—a move that startled peers due to Daitarion's importance and its initial distrust of humans.

His wise, intelligent, and level-headed demeanor solidified his reliability within the group. Unlike others such as Naoki Asaba, he processed his brainwashed actions without guilt, recognizing his lack of culpability. This calm stoicism extended to his bond with Daitarion; he intervened during the Web Knight's crisis of distrust and heroic despair, persuading it to accept him as pilot and partner.

Functioning as a sixth-ranger archetype who reinforced the team later in their mission, Shou adopted a supportive role. His competence and steady presence cemented his status as a cool older brother figure among the group.
