Description
Morrigan stands as a prominent high noble of the Aensland family within the demon realm Makai. She exhibits profound boredom with her royal duties and responsibilities, leading her to frequently leave Makai without permission to seek diversion and excitement in the human world. These unauthorized excursions consistently frustrate her guardians tasked with overseeing her obligations.

As a succubus, Morrigan requires stimulation—physical or mental—to secrete a life-sustaining liquid; without it, she would perish within two days, driving her excursions. She can sense powerful energies from entities like other Darkstalkers or Pyron. Her powers include flight via bat-like wings, projecting energy blasts capable of harming non-corporeal beings, and instantaneously changing her attire. She demonstrates proficiency in hand-to-hand combat and acrobatics.

Within the anime's events, Morrigan actively seeks conflict, engaging Jon Talbain in battles during the opening segments of multiple episodes. Her primary motivation is pursuing a confrontation with the vampire lord Demitri Maximoff, particularly after his attempt to return to Makai. Their encounters carry distinct erotic undertones. Their duel is interrupted when she senses Huitzil. Following Demitri's defeat by Pyron, she locates him unconscious in his castle ruins. When Demitri awakens and attempts to drain her energy, she offers no resistance. She comments that Demitri might become Makai's ruler after all, suggesting a change in leadership could benefit the chaotic realm. She subsequently observes Donovan Baine's victory over Pyron alongside Demitri.

Non-anime media, such as the UDON comics, depict significant differences: Morrigan appears actively malevolent, deliberately seducing and murdering humans to consume their souls while openly disregarding her father Belial Aensland and her duties. She uses deception, like shapeshifting into a thrall to infiltrate Demitri's followers, displaying a more overtly cruel and self-serving personality. This contrasts with the anime, where her actions are self-centered but not portrayed as actively evil or human-hunting. The comics also depict her as less powerful relative to adversaries like Demitri and Pyron compared to other interpretations.

Her succubus traits extend beyond sustenance: she interacts with dreams, absorbing a special secretion formed in the human brain during dreaming, leaving victims only with a sensation of their dream being taken. Contact with her bodily fluids, like blood or saliva, is instantly lethal to humans and induces powerful lustful effects. She passively emits an aura and fragrance that dilates blood vessels, causes intense perspiration, and drives men under her spell, though individuals with strong minds or dark hearts can resist. Her presence also passively exudes an aura capable of corrupting hearts and inducing madness, a common trait among powerful Darkstalkers, though she remains immune to such influences from others.
