Description
Shigeru Fujiki, a third-grader with a maroon-brown cropped hairstyle swept to the right, triangular eyes, and faintly blue-tinged lips, navigates school life in a blue button-up shirt paired with a crisp white collar, brown shorts, white socks, and blue shoes. His demeanor balances maturity and cheerfulness, yet his sensitivity surfaces under ridicule or stress, often leading to tearful outbursts. He harbors unrequited feelings for Sasayama, whose attention he courts through earnest, if ill-fated, gestures that typically spiral into comedic mishaps.

Fujiki’s closest bond lies with Nagasawa, their friendship forged through shared challenges, including navigating Nagasawa’s family struggles after a devastating house fire. Home life finds him frequently alone, his parents’ demanding work hours leaving him to fill solitary afternoons with quiet hobbies: mastering skateboard tricks and practicing ventriloquism.

He favors ramen and hot dogs, idolizes singer Agnes Chan, and interacts sporadically with classmates like Maruko, Hanawa, and Maruo—though these exchanges pale beside his dynamic with Nagasawa. Within school-centered stories, Fujiki serves as a consistent supporting presence, his blend of emotional fragility and earnestness anchoring both lighthearted misadventures and moments of vulnerability.
