Gōba is a large, purple alien resembling a groundhog. He travels the galaxy as a devoted fan of the Space Show, following it like a touring music group. This friendly, jovial alien acts as a helpful acquaintance to the main group of children on their interstellar journey. During the climax at the interstellar festival, when the children need aid to reach the Pet Star vessel, Gōba lends his support alongside other allies. His involvement assists their confrontation against the antagonist Neppo and the rescue of their captured friend.
