TV-Series
Description
Aranya Trantella Alakunida, also called Arahnia Taranterra Arachnida, is an arachne possessing a humanoid upper body joined to a large arachnid abdomen and legs. Her appearance features four humanoid arms ending in claws, two pairs being long and slender, prominent breasts, and a white fur collar at her neck. Her hair is primarily black with red tips, styled in layered, angular sections forming horn-like shapes atop her head. Her eyes are crimson, matching the red in her hair. The arachnid portion displays a golden pattern on the abdomen with a light brown underside, terminating in two-clawed feet instead of hard chitin.

Her personality is straightforward yet manipulative when pursuing objectives. She exhibits a callous disregard for conventional boundaries, particularly in seducing Glenn Litbeit—partly to provoke her close friend Saphentite Neikes and partly to forge a deeper connection. Highly intelligent, she employs psychological tactics to confuse or outmaneuver others, such as unsettling Tisalia with logic. She speaks with an eastern dialect and becomes intensely single-minded when excited or fixated, like obtaining unique design materials. Historically, she engaged in infidelity and homewrecking that damaged past friendships, a pattern that changed after developing genuine feelings for Glenn.

Professionally, she is the lead designer at Loose Silk Sewing in Lindworm, specializing in protective clothing for monster species. She produces all attire for Saphentite Neikes, leveraging her ability to generate spider silk from her physiology. This silk is used for tailoring and constructing traps, though overproduction causes physical strain, leaving her spinnerets sore and swollen—a vulnerability she manages.

Her relationships are central to her development. Saphentite Neikes is her closest friend and drinking companion, their bond strengthened by professional collaboration and mutual teasing. Despite Arahnia's attempts to seduce Glenn to irritate or connect with Saphentite, their friendship endures due to Saphentite’s understanding of Arahnia’s ultimately harmless eccentricities. With Glenn, her initial pursuit was opportunistic and playful, evolving into genuine romantic interest. By the series' sixth volume conclusion, she becomes Glenn’s official fiancée, contingent upon him achieving financial independence for his clinic before formalizing their marriage.

Her character development involves transitioning from infidelity and emotional manipulation to committed loyalty. Her fixation on Glenn shifts from a superficial desire to "match" Saphentite’s romantic involvement to authentic love, culminating in her engagement. This growth is framed within her broader creative drive, where she views her unconventional behavior—termed "insanity"—as integral to her artistic process and design innovations.
