TV Special
Description
Hitokage co-founds Team Go-Getters, a rescue team assisting Pokémon in need. This Charmander discovers an amnesiac Squirtle—a transformed human—and recruits him despite initial doubts about Squirtle's claimed origins. He equips Squirtle with a Rescue Team Badge and outlines their mission, showcasing leadership and operational experience.

During crises, Hitokage acts decisively: he mobilizes the team after an earthquake, guides them to Pelipper Post Office for assignments, and defends their Berry supplies against rival Team Meanies. In Sinister Cave, he illuminates darkness with his tail flame, locates a trapped Pichu by sound, and shatters rocks with Metal Claw to free it. His combat skills include Ember and an unexpected Flamethrower during a Shroomish attack, forcing the foe's retreat.

His development emerges upon finding the defeated Team Meanies later. Despite rivalry, he shares their last Oran Berry to heal them after Squirtle advocates for unity, signaling a shift toward cooperation. Against Skarmory, he joins a coordinated assault using Corsola Twigs, though the tactic initially fails.

Hitokage mentors Squirtle in rescue protocols while often dismissing his human-background tales. He collaborates closely with Chikorita, relying on her guidance for supplies. His personality merges confidence with pragmatism, focusing on mission success while gradually valuing compassion beyond team competition.
