Description
Hypnos is a spirit demon with silver hair braided past his shoulders, pale olive green eyes, and a small purple diamond on his forehead. He has white goat ears, a black demon tail ending in a puff ball, sharp nails, and red spiral markings on both forearms. His attire includes a half-black, half-white off-the-shoulder robe with beige trim over a sleeveless maroon undershirt, beige pants with distinctive cuffs, and white fuzzy slippers.

He must sleep 20 hours daily to survive, an imperative fueling his dedication to sleep. During his limited waking time, he displays a laidback, observant personality, often overlooking others' activities with amusement, particularly minor mishaps. He tends to tease Demon Cleric, whom he has known since the Cleric started working at the castle, offering guidance as a senior while avoiding deeper responsibility.

Hypnos works during sleep, combating monsters to confine them within the dream world, contributing to the Demon Castle's security despite his extended rest periods. He resides in the quieter Old Demon Castle, a preference held since the previous Demon King's era, bearing no animosity toward the current regime.

He mentors Princess Syalis in sleep-related pursuits, expressing pride in her application of his teachings. Their connection is evident when he examines her nightmare of Dawner the Hero, revealing her deep-seated aversion and demonstrating his capacity to analyze dream content.

Hypnos enjoys ark shell sushi and reading various manga genres, but avoids horror movies due to fear. He sleep-talks phrases like "I'm sleepy" and, when questioned about appearance maintenance, prioritizes minimizing drooling. His hypothetical request to Santa Claus would be for an oversized bedroom.

Other castle demons react cautiously to his presence, especially during rare waking moments. Princess Syalis considers him her favorite deity, aligning with her sleep-centric priorities. His existence integrates into the castle's operational structure despite minimal direct interaction with most residents.
