Description
Dr. Yung, a male scientist and central antagonist, develops the Mirage System—a technology producing holographic Pokémon with unrestricted moves. Masking vengeful motives beneath a veneer of courtesy, he invites Professor Oak, Ash, and companions to Mirage Mansion under the guise of showcasing his invention. His expulsion from the Pokémon Institute for unethical experiments, criticized as disrespect toward Pokémon, fuels a manipulative agenda.

Adopting the alias Mirage Master, he orchestrates a scheme to synthesize a flawless Pokémon by extracting data from global databases. This ruthless plan escalates to kidnapping Professor Oak and torturing Pikachu for memory data, revealing his disregard for life in pursuit of perfection. Dismissing natural Pokémon as inferior, he engineers Mirage Mewtwo, a synthetic entity designed to transcend all weaknesses, intending to unleash it worldwide.

An unexpected anomaly arises in Mirage Mew, a self-aware hologram exhibiting empathy. Deeming it flawed, Yung attempts its destruction, epitomizing his contempt for imperfection and utilitarian view of existence. His downfall unfolds when Mirage Mew aids Pikachu in obliterating Mirage Mewtwo and the Mirage System during their climactic battle.

Escaping into his burning laboratory, Yung’s fate remains ambiguous. His duality—charming inventor versus megalomaniacal villain—echoes literary parallels like Jekyll and Hyde, contrasting scientific ambition with eroded ethics. His legacy endures through Mirage Pokémon creations, including Aggron, Entei, and the legendary birds, embodiments of his technical prowess. Yet his refusal to acknowledge organic life’s intrinsic value precipitates his defeat, framing the narrative’s caution against unchecked scientific exploitation.
