Fred Butter is a Dutch actor and voice actor with a career spanning several decades in film, television, and animation. Born on June 13, 1957, in the Netherlands, he is widely recognized for his extensive work in providing Dutch voices for numerous international animated series and films. Beyond performing, Butter has also been active in voice direction and production, notably through the Fred Butter Soundstudio, which has handled Dutch dubs for various projects.

Butter's voice acting portfolio is particularly notable for its breadth in animation. He has voiced characters in Dutch versions of major animated features, including Heimlich the caterpillar in A Bug's Life, Melman the giraffe in the Madagascar film series, and characters in Ice Age, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, and Cars. His television voice work is equally extensive, with roles in Dutch dubs of popular series such as The Smurfs (as Brainy Smurf and Handy Smurf), Taotao, Hamtaro, and Sonic X.
