Description
Butch serves as the male counterpart to Buttercup within The Rowdyruff Boys. His origin stems from Mojo Jojo combining Chemical Z with genetic material from Kaoru Matsubara (Buttercup's civilian identity) and Mojo's own body hair; Kaoru's dirty sock specifically contributed to his composition, explaining his green association and unconventional weapon choice.
Personality-wise, he shares the Rowdyruff Boys' mischievous and disruptive nature but presents as comparatively quieter. His demeanor reflects a grosser interpretation of Buttercup's tomboyish traits, though he lacks her physical strength, demonstrated when he failed to wield her hammer.
Visually, he sports black hair in a mid-length high ponytail, green eyes, and notably pale skin. His attire includes a green, black, white, and gold jacket with a high collar fastened by a strap, black pants featuring zippers near the knees, and shoes equipped with wheels. This distinct look differentiates him from his original counterpart.
In combat, he relies exclusively on a dirty sock used as a boomerang, often employing the attack cry "Stinky sock boomerang!". While The Rowdyruff Boys collectively possess greater raw power than Powerpuff Girls Z, they lack the skill to wield it effectively; Butch exhibits no unique abilities beyond his weapon proficiency.
His documented role remains consistent as an antagonist characterized by mischief and reliance on his signature weapon, with no substantial character development, appearances in alternate media, or significant narrative evolution recorded.
