Moena Shinguji attends an academy in a future where Earth's polluted surface is uninhabitable. Shy and reserved, her life revolves around female friendships and working at her aunt Kyoka's campus cafe. Orphaned young after her mother died in infancy and her father disappeared, she remained withdrawn until forming a close bond with her friend Hasumi.
She owns a heart-shaped pendant enabling her transformation into the superheroine Angel Blade. This metamorphosis drastically alters her appearance: her hair extends into twintails, her breasts and buttocks expand significantly, and she dons a crimson helmet with a green visor, a dark blue corset with grey diamonds, a matching garter, and red and yellow high-heeled boots.
