Ai Uchikawa is a Japanese voice actress affiliated with the talent management firm Sigma Seven. She was born on February 27, 1972, in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Her birth name is Yuka Uchikawa, and she has also used the stage name Ai Uchikawa at different points in her career.

Uchikawa is a graduate of the Katsuta Voice Actor Academy, where she was a classmate of fellow voice actress Yukiko Iwai. Following her graduation, she joined Office Kaoru, an agency founded by voice actor Yasuo Muramatsu, who was also one of her instructors at the academy. She later moved to her current agency, Sigma Seven, in 1999. Her debut in the entertainment industry was in 1993, providing the Japanese voiceover for a character in the French film Germinal, credited under her birth name, Yuka Uchikawa. Her first role in anime was a small part as a volleyball club member in the 1996 television series Brave Command Dagwon, and her first leading role soon followed as Kirari Saijou in the 1996 series Chouja Reideen.

Throughout her career, Uchikawa has built a substantial portfolio of voice work across television anime, original video animations (OVAs), and video games. One of her most enduring and widely recognized roles is in the long-running children's series Tottoko Hamutarō (Hamtaro). She voiced the character Kana Iwata, the owner of the titular hamster, and also provided the voice for the hamster character Kapuru-kun across multiple television series, OVAs, and theatrical films.

Her filmography includes a range of other notable roles. In the mecha genre, she is known for voicing Sayaka Yumi in the OVA series MazinKaiser and its sequel Mazinkaiser: Shitou! Ankoku Daishogun. She also voiced Tesera in the Gravion and Gravion Zwei television series. In the fantasy and adventure genres, her roles include Grieda in Crest of the Stars and Banner of the Stars III, Elanore Baker in Madlax, and Margarita in El Cazador de la Bruja. She also appeared in episodes of acclaimed series such as Cowboy Bebop, D.Gray-man, and Pumpkin Scissors.

Uchikawa has also been a prolific voice in OVAs and video games, which were a major part of the anime industry in the 1990s and 2000s. Many of the roles such as Beatrice Lambert in the Gosenzo-sama series, Eri Takabe in the Shusaku the Letch series, Chihaya Hiiragi in Magical Kanan, Moena Shinguji in Angel Blade Punish!, and Ayumi Arima in Yu-No, are from OVA productions. In video games, she is frequently credited for her role as Sayaka Yumi and Quwasan Olibee in the Super Robot Wars series.
